History
Abandoning the model of the first “animal houses“ that sought only entertainment for profit and economic purposes, today the working line of wildlife parks and zoos should be the conservation of protected and threatened species. There are several examples of these extinct species in Nature that have been reintroduced into their natural environment through the reproduction of captive-bred animals.

01How does the Ecological Reserve of Ojén contribute to conservation ?
Our conservation program includes all the species that inhabit this centre, and specifically proposes working protocols to conserve the existing population of mountain goat (Capra pyrenaica) y chameleons (Chamaeleo chamaeleon), which have been selected as “flagship species“ of this centre. In addition, in the future, we will participate in various conservation programs for the species that are conserved in our facilities.

How can we help conservation?
In addition to respecting all the species you see in the countryside, we invite you to visit the Ecological Reserve of Ojén and participate in the volunteer and collaboration caimpaigns organized there.
